Carfagna’s
Stopped by Carfagna’s for another Saturday 5 for 5. Lisa was pouring today and of course, Raj poured a 6th wine. While we were at Carfagna’s, our 7-year-old nephew called and asked Julie to taste some bubbles for him. So, at the bottom, we talk about one of our favorite Champagnes.
- Lodali, Roero Arneis, Italy ($15.99)

- Rosé, Domaine Mas Therese, Bandol, France ($17.99)

- Dolcetto d’Alba, Alessandro Rivetto, Italy ($18.99)

- Kiri, Cantina Vermentino Monti, Sardinia, Italy ($14.99)
(This wine is made from the Cannonau varietal, which is considered the healthiest grape in the world.) - Black Chicken, Biale, Napa Valley ($45.99)

- Domenico Clerico, Ciabot Mentin Ginestra Barolo 2004

Home
- Brut, Pierre Gimonnet & Fils, Champagne, France (375ml)
(This is one of our favorite Champagnes. We had it first at one of our favorite restaurants in Columbus, the Refectory. This wine has the distinct yeasty flavor of a Champagne, but also a ton of fruit, green and red apple. )
